An award-winning Villa Ventorum and Museum offering a compelling window into Roman life in the Somerset countryside. Located within The Newt Estate, the museum is positioned over the archaeological remains of the original Roman villa, first discovered in 1832.

Please meet in the car park which leads to the entrance (not to be confused with the entrance road to the on-site hotel which is down an adjacent road).
Anyone who has limitations to their mobility or if the weather is inclement there is a system of golf buggy hire as it is a 30-40 minute walk each way to where the villa tour takes place. The cost of hire is £50.00, half of which is a deposit reimbursed when the vehicle is returned. Each can carry 4 people including the driver. It therefore works out at £6.25 per person for those wishing to avail themselves of this service.
