On the walk we will see The Rings, a 12th century seige castle close to Corfe Castle, hollow ways and Bronze Age barrows on Corfe Common, and parts of Corfe Castle village. It is about 3.5 miles and takes just over 2 hours. There are some moderately steep slopes and be prepared for mud and nettles.
We will meet outside the entrance of the Corfe Castle View Visitor Centre in the National Trust car park, BH20 5DR. Alternative parking is in the layby on the Church Knowle Road, Purbeck Park (formerly known as Norden Park and Ride) which is about 10 minutes walk on a footpath to the NT car park. The Purbeck Breezer bus (40) stops outside the visitor centre.
