Visit to Big Dig Friday 21 June 2024

Tour of Big Dig at Winterbourne Kingston with Miles Russell. View the current Bournemouth University excavations before they are open to the public. Tour will start at 10:30ish. Meet in the farmyard at 10am. From the farmyard lifts can be provided for those who need or want one.

At the centre of Winterborne Kingston (by the war memorial, village hall and phone box) turn into WEST STREET

Follow WEST STREET past the roads Plumbley Meadows, Kingston Barnyard and Stoney Lawn (to your right)

Once out of Winterborne Kingston the village, the SECOND turning on the right is signposted into the tree-lined drive of NORTH WEST FARM

Drive along the tree-lined tarmac drive

At the end of the trees, before the farmyard, there is a gate on your left into the pasture field where cars are parked
